Mobility Maps

WorldMapper has just released a series of global visualizations of interesting human, economic, and commodity flows. These maps tie to some of the work we're currently finishing up for the first of 2006's Technology Horizons research memos on mobility in the US,UK, Japan, Brazil, Russia, India and China.

Virtual China blog

My colleague Lyn Jeffery, and former Institute intern Jason Li have started a new blog, "Virtual China." The blog is "an exploration of virtual experiences and environments in and about China," and is part of a larger research project we're doing (and Lyn is leading) on the future of China.
